How to Legally Download Office , , or Free From Microsoft

 

I have a Windows 10 laptop that started life as 8 and then 8. It originally had Office , which has been uninstalled using the Fix It tool as the control panel had it labeled as "unavailable. So, I used the Fix It tool appropriate to that version to do the uninstall control panel said unavailable.

I then rebooted the laptop and tried again. The installed stalled out at the same point, so I clicked on the X. I looked under all programs and found Excel, Word, etc.

However, control panel still shows "unavailable. I have seen other posts with the same issue dating back to the preview edition. No where did I find a solution that seemed to work for everyone.

Did MS find a way to make this happen or am I stuck? You may refer to the resolution steps mentioned in following article and then try installing Office to check if it helps. I suggest you to try uninstalling Office suite using fixit. Once done, you may log into My Account page, download, and install Office.
